The Story

Many customers visiting this page are looking specifically for Māori art prints in Australia rather than ordering from overseas. Willa Black was created to make New Zealand wall art accessible to people living across Australia while still maintaining the authenticity of designs created in Aotearoa. Our collection is especially meaningful for Kiwi families living in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth who want their homes to reflect heritage and identity, but it is also appreciated by Australian buyers who are drawn to the symbolism and storytelling within Māori inspired artwork.

Māori visual design often represents connection - connection to people, to place and to belonging. Because of this, our prints are commonly chosen for family spaces, living rooms and nurseries where they provide both a visual focal point and a personal meaning. Each artwork is designed to feel warm and grounding within modern Australian interiors, whether displayed in a coastal Queensland home, a Melbourne apartment or a suburban Sydney house. By producing and delivering locally within Australia, Willa Black allows customers to enjoy culturally respectful artwork without the complications normally associated with international purchases. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Where are the prints shipped from?

Do you deliver Māori art prints to Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane?

Yes, we deliver to most destinations within Australia, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, Darwin - you name it, we send there.

Who designed this art and who is it for?

Willa Black artworks are created by a New Zealand-based creative team led by a Māori designer. The focus of the brand is on the meaning and storytelling within the artwork rather than individual artist profiles, and we choose to keep personal identities private.

Our pieces are inspired by Māori heritage, identity and modern life in Aotearoa, and are created with cultural care and respect.

The artwork is intended to be enjoyed by anyone who connects with it. Many of our customers are Māori and mixed-heritage families, while others simply appreciate meaningful artwork and New Zealand culture. You do not need to be Māori to display Willa Black art - appreciation and respect are what matter.

How long will it take for an order?

Print-only orders can take up to 2 to 3 business days for printing & dispatch. Framed orders may take up to 7 to 10 business days. Should demand be high, especially during the festive season, it may take longer, but you will be notified of any delays.

Can I return an order?

Because each Willa Black artwork is printed and framed to order, we generally cannot accept returns for change-of-mind purchases.

To help you choose with confidence, we’re happy to assist before you order. We can provide a digital placement preview showing your selected print on a wall in your home or business, or you’re welcome to enquire about a sample order.

In some cases a return may be approved, however return shipping costs and a 5% restocking fee will apply.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or the quality is not as expected, we will absolutely make it right. We will offer a replacement or a full refund once the item is returned or photographed for assessment.

Our goal is for you to love your artwork — so please contact us before purchasing if you’re unsure about sizing, framing, or placement.

Each artwork is designed in Aotearoa, New Zealand and produced locally within Australia so buyers can enjoy meaningful artwork without international shipping delays, customs charges or import duties.

Our collection is especially popular with New Zealanders living in Australia who want to keep a visual connection to home. Many Kiwi families choose Willa Black prints when setting up a new house, decorating a nursery, or gifting something meaningful for birthdays and housewarmings. For children growing up in Australia, artwork that reflects identity, whakapapa and heritage can be an important way of maintaining connection to culture and family roots.

Customers can order framed or print-only options depending on their space and budget, and many buyers choose framed pieces so the artwork arrives ready to hang.

We regularly deliver artwork throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia, including regional areas. Our goal is to make meaningful New Zealand wall art easily accessible to customers across Australia while maintaining the authenticity of designs created in Aotearoa.
