Our Story
Willa Black Prints was founded with a vision to celebrate the essence of Aotearoa, New Zealand - from its rich Māori culture to the ataahua (breathtaking) landscapes that make it one of the world’s most sought-after destinations. Beyond that, there’s a distinct quirkiness and imagination woven into every piece and this is what makes the art so special - it's unique, it's from the heart, it's proud mahi designed for anyone to admire.
At the heart of Willa Black Prints is its founder, a proud Māori artist (Ngāti Porou, Te Arawa) who, like many other Māori, is multi-cultural and embraces a British, Irish, and Spanish heritage. This diverse background influences each creation, blending tradition with contemporary expression to tell stories that resonate across cultures.
Our philosophy is to celebrate the art, not the artist behind it. In doing so, and to respect our artists’ privacy, we kindly don’t share individual artist names.
